THIS PHOTOGRAPH OF WILLIAM AND MARY IS ONE PUBLISHED IN “THE VANISHING SANDS” AND IS UNDATED.
BRIGHTON PUBLIC SCHOOL IN 1880. THE FIRST RECORDS OF THE SCHOOL SHOW 19 CHILREN ENROLLED, INCLUDED IN THAT 19  WERE MY GREAT GRANDFATHER, EDGAR, AND MY GREAT AUNT, ROSE ANNA.  

This photograph of my Mother, Sadie Longhurst Jemson Ledger, was taken on her 90th birthday  at St. Anne’s Nursing Home , Broken Hill , where she currently resides. She was born in Adelaide , and lived there until she moved to Broken Hill to marry my father.Her brother,Edgar , and sisters, Doreen, Evelyn and Vera have all pre-deceased her.

ON THE 25TH MAY 2008, AFTER LOCATING AND MARKING THE GRAVESITES OF BOTH WILLIAM AND MARY, AND THEIR CHILDREN, A DEDICATION CEREMONY WAS HELD AT ST JUDES CEMETERY. THE DEDICATION WAS ATTENDED BY FAMILY MEMBERS, AND MEMBERS OF THE BRIGHTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY.

THIS IS THE PLAQUE ENGRAVED WITH THE APPROPRIATE TRIBUTE TO MY GREAT GREAT GRANDPARENTS TO AKNOWLEDGE THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE BRIGHTON COMMUNITY
